This week on Meems Monday, we’re thrilled to chat with Paige Kuriloff, founder of Paige Ashley Beads,  a line of handcrafted, personalized jewelry made especially for kids. What began as a heartfelt hobby inspired by her daughter has turned into a beloved brand that celebrates creativity, individuality, and the joy of self expression. In our conversation, Paige shares the story behind her designs, how she balances style and playfulness, and why her personalized pieces are the perfect fit for the Meems community. 

Can you tell us the story behind Paige Ashley Beads and what inspired you to start making kids’ accessories?

I’ve always loved beading, over the years I’ve made everything from mask chains to cell phone charms and bracelets. But once my daughter, Jordan, became a toddler, I found new inspiration. I started creating name necklaces for her and for friends’ children to celebrate special milestones. Each piece was unique, matching the child’s outfit or reflecting what they were into at the moment. That joy of personalization and seeing kids light up when they wear something made just for them really sparked the idea for Paige Ashley Beads.

We’re so excited to launch Paige Ashley Beads on Meems! From your perspective, why do you think your products are a great fit for our community of parents and kids?

Paige Ashley Beads is such a natural fit for the Meems community because our pieces are all about fun, creativity, and self expression. Parents love that the jewelry is stylish yet playful, and kids love that they get something personalized that feels uniquely theirs. It’s a way for families to celebrate milestones and everyday moments in a special, wearable way.

What are your best selling pieces right now, and why do you think kids love them so much?

Our best seller is the Light Pink Pearl Name Necklace. It’s feminine but still neutral, which makes it versatile enough to go with almost any outfit. Kids love it because it feels special and personalized, but parents love it because it’s timeless and easy to style with everything.

Jewelry for kids can feel “just for play” or “too grown up.” How did you strike the balance
to make Paige Ashley Beads both stylish and truly kid friendly?

Striking that balance was really important to me. The letters are big enough to read but still delicate enough for everyday wear, so the pieces feel stylish without being overwhelming. Every design is inspired by something my friends or I would wear, but scaled down and made playful for little ones. That’s how we keep the pieces fun, fashionable, and perfectly kid-friendly.

Can you share a bit about how the products are made, are they handcrafted, assembled in house, or made in partnership with artisans?

Every necklace is handmade by me at my dining room table, it’s truly a startup and a labor of love.

Parents want to know: what goes into the quality and safety of your products, especially since kids will be wearing them daily? 

Most of the beads are natural stones, not plastic, so they hold up beautifully to everyday wear. The letter beads are pearl, and the gold spacers are gold filled, which gives them durability as well as a polished look.

We’re heading into the start of gifting season, what makes your accessories a perfect
holiday or birthday gift?

Our necklaces make the perfect gifts because of the personalization, everyone loves receiving something with their name on it in their favorite colors. They’re thoughtful, one-of-a-kind, and versatile enough to be a stocking stuffer, a birthday gift, or the finishing touch for a holiday outfit. It’s a keepsake that feels personal but also fun.
